It is a marine sign located in "Punta Bombé", a little more of a kilometer of "Muros" at the border of the highway that drives to "Corcubión". Its construction didn't figure in the projects of the first "Plan de Alumbrado de las Costas de España" and it dates of the beginning of the century. An agreement of the "Comisión de Faros"of the year 1902 approved the decision of locating a fixed red light of 6º order in "Cabo Rebordiño" in order to contribute, united with the of "Monte Louro" a better buoyage of the estuary and the bay of "Muros".

The project ran in the charge of the engineer D. López Miño being awarded the works to the contractor D. Manuel Fontao that executed them for a cost of 30,683.34 pesetas.

The building, of two plants, is of plant in form of "U" and with the parallel axis to the highway. The tower, of iron foundry, with 6.5 meters from height, is finished off by a balcony that it communicates with the roof of the building and by a cylíndrical turret on which rises the octogonal lantern of plane crystals and vertical stanchion.

On September the 1st of 1909 it was inaugurated with the appearance of red fixed light and a reach of 6 miles in ordinary time. It had a Sautter apparatus with Maris lamp of a wick.

On August the 13rd of 1924 a installation composed of a set of winking light with burnt of 30 litres./ h. and solar valve, everything it of the AGA house, it comes to substitute the anterior, giving an appearance of two red flashes every six seconds with a nominal range of 7 miles. With this automation the lighthouse was residence of the technician that attended to the signs of buoyage of the estuary. Subsequently, within the" Plan de Señales Marítima" 1985/ 89, it was electrifed with the installation of a lamp of 250W/ 220V. and lamp of reservation of 40W/ 12V. conserving the old optic.

At the present time it is uninhabited and gives its service with an electronic set of winking light, acrylic optic of 305 millimetres and halógen lamp of 75W/ 12V.
